Who we are
The Sovereign Tech Fund's mission is to strengthen digital infrastructure in the public interest. Our goal is to promote security, innovation, and competitiveness and to create a stable digital foundation for participation and democracy. To this end, we invest in the open source ecosystem with a focus on resilience and technological diversity and the aim of achieving digital sovereignty and sustainable digital services in the public interest.
As a “start-up” in the Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation, we started the Sovereign Tech Fund in September 2022. This year, we will become an independent entity, and as such, we are looking for talented individuals to join our team and help establish the new organization.
What we offer

We also provide all team members with opportunities for personal growth and development. To facilitate this, we allocate an annual budget for training and strongly encourage our team members to attend exciting national and international events and conferences.
Upon joining, all employees receive a comprehensive and high-quality hardware package, ensuring they are well-equipped for both office and remote work. Our modern office in Berlin Mitte provides each staff member their own workspace, but we also offer the flexibility to work entirely remotely. Our work environment is flexible to meet your individual needs and help you achieve a healthy balance between work and personal life.

Who we are looking for
We are a diverse team and welcome applications from BPoC, people with disabilities, people with a migration background, and people from other groups that are underrepresented in technology development.

We aim for continuous learning and improvement, encouraging each individual to take responsibility for their work and personal development.
